Low and Local Potluck: September 12
Please join us on the second Sunday of each month after coffee hour for a Low and Local Potluck meal. They will be held in the Collins Room or outdoors if weather permits. The purpose of our potlucks is to share meals made from ingredients that are low on the food chain and/or produced locally. The goal of the potlucks is to reduce our environmental impact, increase our sustainability, support our local farmers, and improve our health as a church community. Please bring a dish to share and a copy of your recipe so we may create our own cookbook.

UUR Art Wall
Our September exhibitor will be Fred Berg. He has been making Fused Glass Art for a while and you may have seen some examples in our fundraisers. They vary from small hanging ornaments to large bowls of eye catching patterns. Some will be a challenge to hang on a wall but Fred is bringing his engineering skill to that problem.
We have had a wonderful month of enjoying Eliza Squibb's art work. The translucent screen of Providence's industrial buildings lowing gently by our window was especially admired. Many Thanks to her as she returns to Rhode Island School of design for her second year of studies. I hope other UU artists among us will dare to exhibit 3-D art after seeing Fred's and Eliza's. Call me and we'll try to work it out. Diana Gay
