AIO Sunday: April 6th
Once a month UUR dedicates Sunday coffee hour to AIO,the Area Interfaith Outreach food pantry. This is an opportunity to give a staple good or monetary donation at coffee hour in exchange for Fair Trade coffee or tea. All donations are distributed to families in our community.
Depression and Bi-Polar Support Group
We gather every Thursday at 7 PM at UUR, a group for those who have been diagnosed and desire peer support. Strict confidence observed. DBSA support group meetings focus on mutual aid and strategies for living the fullest life possible. Members continually seek to provide hope, reassurance and encouragement to one another. By sharing experiences, insights and ideas, people get peer-to-peer support from others who have "been there."
GET READY, GET SET, GO!!! - Saturday April 26 Amazing Great Teen Race starts at 10:00!
Adventurers between the ages of 13-17 will take off in teams of two in a race around Rockland to help bring an end to global warming. Racers will be given directions to a secret destination, upon arriving there, they will perform a specific task. Once the task is completed the racers will be given their next clue. And so it goes around the town. The ourse will be filled with fun activities & racers will pick up skills that they can share with their peers, family, & the community to ensure that Rockland will always be a beautiful place to live. The time to take action to change global warming is truly an amazing race for our teens. We need lots of help, so if you would like to sign up as a team or volunteer at one of the destinations, please contact Patti Montana at pmontana@hotmail.com.
